PATHS Parent Committees

Parents and Teachers Helping Our School

PATHS is a volunteer group of parents and teachers who work together to support the development of our school. PATHS is a vital part of Greene Hill culture and is actively involved in everything from the school library to community outreach. Some committees work primarily on event planning and fundraising and are active for only a short time. Other committees such as Diversity and Community Service are ongoing throughout the year. We encourage all Greene Hill parents to participate in PATHS.

PATHS Committees

  • The Greene Affair

The Greene Affair is the biggest community party of the year. Volunteer efforts and donations raise essential funds for the School’s arts partners, sports and field trip programs as well as support a community ticket price so that, in alignment with our sliding scale tuition, all can choose to celebrate together.

  • Garden

The gardening committee organizes a range of garden activities from planting projects to compost care to regular garden watering. Our annual Plant Sale fundraiser is hosted in April.

  • Diversity

Our committee organizes activities and special events on topics that increase diversity awareness among all members of the school community.

  • School Building

Our committee helps with general building maintenance and repair projects in and around the school. We also assist with school event set up and take down.

  • Library

The Library Committee keeps the GHS library running on a day to day basis. We also curate the library collection by ordering new books for the general collection, working with GHS teachers and staff to order books for the all school study and classroom work using our annual NYSTL funds.

  • Community Service

Help plan community service projects and other events that support the Greene Hill community as well as our local community.

  • Admissions

Help to expand Greene Hill's student body by participating in virtual tours, answering prospective family questions, writing reviews of our school or doing outreach to the larger community.
