What is sliding scale tuition and why do we have it?

An independent private school, Greene Hill is committed to diversity and the sliding scale is one of the ways that we live our mission.

Greene Hill School is one of the very few programs that offer a sliding scale tuition to all families. Our tuition model is instrumental in keeping our mission alive and ensures that families pay the tuition that is most appropriate for their household income and financial resources.

2023-24 Tuition

Lower School (ages 4 – 10)

Starting at $5,335 and up to $42,522

Middle School (6th - 8th grades)

Starting at $6,368 and up to $47,921

How does sliding scale tuition work?

For families that cannot afford the full cost of tuition and are interested in a financial assessment, Greene Hill School uses an outside agency, FACTS Management, to fairly assess the amount a family can contribute toward the cost of their child’s education.

Grant aid applications for financial assessments for the 2023-2024 school year must be completed by January 8, 2023. Tuition award notifications are included in the student enrollment contract after acceptance notices are sent by our Admissions Department.

Greene Hill School offers a wide range of payment plan options for tuition. Families are encouraged to contact the GHS Business Manager at accounting@greenehillschool.org with any questions about tuition and the grant aid application process.
