Positions:

Science and Health Teacher
We are looking for an upper elementary and middle school educator to springboard a new position combining teaching science and/or adolescent issues and advising. You will be member of a team working together to define our curricular approach and help build the school. Candidates must have knowledge of child development and appropriate progressive approach to curriculum. They must enjoy collaborating with parents and colleagues as well as with children. Qualified candidates will be organized, strong, caring individuals who are also flexible and have a sense of adventure. Masters degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education and 2+ years experience as a classroom teacher are required.

Elementary School Head Teacher
We have an opening for a Head Teacher in the Elementary School. We are currently interviewing candidates interested in working with a range of ages. You will be member of a team working together to define our curricular approach and help build the school. Candidates must have knowledge of child development and appropriate progressive approach to curriculum.  They must enjoy collaborating with parents and colleagues as well as with children. Qualified candidates will be organized, strong, caring individuals who are also flexible and have a sense of adventure. Masters degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education and 2+ years experience as a classroom teacher are required.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., plus weekly faculty meeting and some evening commitments.
Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus benefits.

Elementary School Assistant Teacher
We have an opening for an Assistant Teacher in the Elementary School. You will be a member of a team working together to uphold the mission and values of Greene Hill School, both in and out of the classroom. Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Overseeing lunch and daily outdoor activities.
• Working with the head teacher to establish and maintain open lines of communication with families and the larger community.
• Participating in staff development provided by the administration of the school.
• Participating in weekly staff meetings and school open houses.
• Sharing leadership of the after school program.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., plus weekly faculty meeting and some evening commitments.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
